“Paper Dresses” is from a series of works is entitled “Unexpected Clothing” depicting clothing hanging in store windows surrounded by reflected light and street images. The “empty” clothes imply an opportunity for the viewer to place themselves in the picture surrounded by beauty; to step back in time to a more romantic era and self-image. I consider these works to be fundamentally feminist in nature because they focus on a woman’s choice of self-perception and beauty.
I love donating to City Hearts to help the photo students learn how to express themselves through photography. I want the kids to learn how to seek out and find how light can illuminates a space or subject and create their story.
